Man, 60, killed when SUV veers off freeway
A single-vehicle freeway wreck last night in the Cajon Pass killed a 60-year-old man from the high desert town of Oro Grande, according to San Bernardino County coroner's officials.
Stephen Michael Fenstermaker died at the scene of the 7:20 p.m. crash Tuesday along the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 north of Highway 138.
Fenstermaker was a passenger in a 2004 Ford Explorer that ran off the right shoulder of the freeway and into a ravine. Officers from the San Bernardino office of the California Highway Patrol are investigating the accident.
